Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning for most of us means cleaning out our garage, sweeping the salt from the winter, cleaning our screens and windows and so much more. It is a bittersweet thing, it’s the beginning of spring but it prevents us from enjoying the beautiful spring weather.

The same is true for most if not all our golf courses. With that first extended forecast when we see the temperatures finally hit 60 degrees, we can’t help but get excited to walk outdoors, go for a run and maybe hit some golf balls and play 9. The fact remains, we still must do our spring cleaning, picking up thousands of branches and limbs scattered throughout our 260 acres, getting debris off the greens and tees.  As you can see in these pictures, we have had quite a bit of spring cleaning to do ourselves.

Not only do some of us have to contend with limbs and debris, but some of us also have melting and draining issues as well. Scott Lake for example has so many hillside-shaded spots where the snow is still melting, we just can’t get golfers out there yet. We are slowly getting there though. Today (St. Patrick’s Day ️) is our second 60 degree day, so we have been able to get a lot done.  We look forward to opening 9 holes very soon! We look forward most, to seeing you all.

So, make sure to get your spring cleaning done so you can enjoy some golf sooner rather than later!

In the meantime, enjoy some March Madness and we will see you soon!
